Rydges Hotel, Auckland,
In September 2019, New Zealand will host the 10th OCEANIAFOODS conference in Auckland. This event will provide food composition experts from across the South Pacific with an opportunity to share knowledge on the generation, management and use of food composition data in the region.
OCEANIAFOODS is the pacific regional operation of INFOODS (the International Network of Food Data Systems), established under the auspices of the Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) in 1984. INFOODS is a worldwide network of food composition experts aiming to improve the quality, availability, reliability and use of food composition data. It also provides a forum for global harmonisation and standardisation for food composition data activities.
OCEANIAFOODS is one of eleven regional data centres of INFOODS and incorporates 23 predominantly South Pacific states from Australasia, Micronesia, Melanesia and Polynesia. The committee look forward to welcoming our Pacific neighbours to Auckland in September for the 10th OCEANIAFOODS conference, SMARTER DATA 2019.
